Ever try to grind the end of a screw you've just sheared or hacksawed off? Ever burn your fingers when the grinding wheel makes the little sucker glow red hot? Salvation is at hand (literally!) with a simple gizmo that can hold fasteners as short as 1/8in. in sizes from #2 through 1/4in. A special over-sized counterbore will securely lock the blade of a screwdriver, so that no fingers need contact the workpiece during grinding or quenching (see photo below). This feature also permits secure holding of various head forms, including button head, flat head, round head and socket head screws.
